Corten Miller

I booked my car in for a remap yesterday (5th Dec 2011) and was fortunate enough for CM to fit me in as their second on the rolling road today, after checking they had the recommended K & N air filter in for my vehicle. Took car in about 10.30, given a coffee, and lent a nice new Corsa courtesy car and went off Xmas shopping!! Told car would be ready between 3 and 4pm but about 2pm was phoned to say ready for collection.
Everything they did was explained by a polite, knowledgeable and enthusiastic chap (apologies for forgetting name!) with a nice graph showing a 40BHP increase and corresponding torque increase over my car as tested by them on dyno - more than I expected and they seemed pleased with outcome as well! They do preliminary tests to check car is running as it should before anything else, road test it, dyno it then the remap, dyno again with before and after figures and another road test.
He took time to show me a DPF (Which I considered having off mine) explaining that it was a very involved job and expensive and suggested leave well alone until it gives trouble maybe after many more miles. No hard sell here!!
Immediately I drove the car there was a very noticeable increase in power throughout the rev range and I am delighted!! Absolutely no loss of smoothness, flat spots or anything to suggest tuning except the rate the speedo moves round and a bit more pressure on the seat back (plus some tut-tutting from the wife!!)
