rolling road
I've taken my Golf mk2 there twice now, and will be doing so later this month, after another timing-belt change (it marginally upsets the tuning).
Getting on for 150k miles ago, he drained the sump, flushed it out and re-filled with fully synthetic oil. Not cheap, but excellent value for money.
Great service - this bloke really knows what to do with engines.
I took my coughing and
I took my coughing and spitting westfield ( 2.0L pinto on twin 45's) to Gerald Dale for a rolling road session after searching on here for rolling roads near to Maidstone.
I took it in as pick up was awful and I knew that the carbs were out of balance as number 3 spark plug was sotty while number 2 was sweep ( sorry clean)
He sorted the balance and idling immediatley very impressive to watch as he adjusted a number of different screw settings.
He then ran it up on the rollers and got 147 bhp at 6k rpm, running rich low down and lean higher up, by the time he had finished it was running 160bhp with 155lb ft of torque and a much better curve on both.
The difference driving as well was immediate wished I had done it ages ago.
No affiliation, just hopefully help anyone else looking for a good rolling road in Kent/Sussex
